PleraSAN® consists of a naturally occurring
insoluble polysaccharide, called pleuran.
Pleuran
is the name given to beta-(1,3/1,6)-D-glucan isolated from the
Pleurotus ostreatus (oyster mushroom).
Pleuran
is found in the cell wall of the oyster mushroom, where it is
covered by indigestible lipids and proteins.
Separating
pleuran from the cell wall without damaging its natural branching
structure is essential in guaranteeing its activity.
Eliminating
lipids and proteins is also important for increasing its bioavailability.
PleraSAN®
is produced using patented technology that does not affect the
natural structure of pleuran, while eliminating lipids and proteins.
